What is the price?

The total price for realistic nipple/areola tattooing is $600 (for unilateral AND bilateral services), including a follow-up appointment if needed. We can provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you for the cost of this service.  Reimbursement is not guaranteed, although we encourage you to reference the Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998. Insurance companies aren't currently recognizing medical tattoo artists as eligible service providers, which is why we cannot accept insurance directly (they won't let us in-network). If your insurance company refuses to cover the service, we encourage you to contact the AiRS Foundation (mentioned below) to apply for a grant for this service. They will require an invoice from us with a scheduled appointment date, 60 days from the date of application, to allow them time for processing. Approval can take up to 60 days and must be approved before the tattoo service is complete.

We are proud partners of the AiRS Foundation, which can help with the cost of this service for those in need. Please visit https://airsfoundation.org for more information and check out the grant application.
What is the process like?

We first begin with a consultation, where we discuss your wants and needs. You can feel free to bring photo reference to this appointment so we can get a better idea of what you are looking for, specifically. We will take a few “before” pictures (these photos never include your face). We will also book your tattoo appointment during this visit, if you wish to proceed.

The next appointment is the tattoo appointment. We begin by filling out a tattoo consent form, and then we get down to business. We take our time mapping out the placement and color palette. After the tattoo is completed, you will be bandaged and we will discuss aftercare.

Finally, the follow-up period is around 3-4 weeks post-tattoo. We will check in on you via email to make sure everything healed correctly, and schedule an additional tattoo appointment to make any adjustments that might be needed. We encourage you to reach out between the initial tattoo appointment and the follow-up period with any questions or concerns.
